BOISE, ID, May 3, 2023–“Cycle to Break the Cycle” returns this year at The Village from May 3-6, 2023.

Former radio host Steve “Kekeluv” Kicklighter and local nonprofit Faces of Hope Foundation are teaming up to raise important funds and awareness about child abuse in our community. This family-friendly event features donated CycleBar stationary bikes under a large tent near Fountain Square. Cycling will run from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, through Saturday, May 6, with CycleBar instructors and special music mixes, like Britney and Friends, 90’s Prom, Cinco De Mayo Fiesta, and more. Interested cyclists can reserve their spot on one of the bikes at www.kekeluv.com.

“We are excited to be hosting Cycle to Break the Cycle again this year. Kekeluv’s efforts in creating awareness and providing assistance in the prevention of child abuse and domestic violence is an important cause in our community, and we are happy to be working with Keke and Faces of Hope Foundation this week for a fun event that supports such an important issue,” Hugh Crawford, Director, Property Management – Intermountain Region, CenterCal Properties.

Faces of Hope Foundation recently announced plans for a satellite location in Meridian. “With over half of our clients coming from West Ada County to receive our services in downtown Boise, the community’s support is more important than ever before,” said Paige Dinger, Executive Director of Faces of Hope Foundation. “Most of the clients traveling from a distance do not return for services after the initial visit, and we want to change that.”

“I feel very blessed to live in a community where a family shopping and gathering place like The Village at Meridian doesn’t blink an eye to support this amazing cause,” said Steve “Kekeluv” Kicklighter. “CycleBar donated their premium bikes, Idahoans will come to ride, and we’ll raise money for the Faces of Hope Foundation. That’s what it’s all about.”

Cycle to Break the Cycle will happen at the end of Idaho Gives and directly after April’s Child Abuse Prevention Month campaign events. Idaho Gives is an annual statewide giving event taking place May 1-4, 2023. Now in its eleventh year, it is designed to bring the state together, raising money and awareness for Idaho nonprofits.
