Faces of Hope Foundation is pleased to announce that Drea Kelly will be our keynote speaker at the 2024 Faces of Courage benefit luncheon!

Drea has transformed her personal experiences of martial abuse into a relentless mission to be “a voice for the voiceless.”

She was previously married to disgraced R&B star R. Kelly, with whom she shares three children, and suffered emotional, sexual, financial, and physical abuse during their 13 year marriage. R. Kelly was jailed in 2022 after being found guilty of sex trafficking, racketeering, and child sexual abuse, though the accusations of sexual misconduct have been overlooked for decades.

Drea has since become a powerful voice for survivors and was featured in the Emmy-nominated Lifetime documentary “Surviving R. Kelly.” Her story of survival and transformation resonates with many, making her an influential figure in the fight against abuse.

To show my support and raise awareness, I will be wearing purple on this day. I encourage you to join me in spreading the word and standing against elder abuse. Together, we can make a difference.
